The Declarative Language STR (State Transition Rule)

چکیده
The declarative language STR (State Transition Rule) is proposed to describe service specifications and programs. Given that telecommunication service specifications can be represented in the form of a state transition diagram, STR describes conditions for state transitions in the form of a production rule. STR specifications, description examples, categories of feature interactions, examples of feature interactions, interaction detection method, and application to Active Networks are described.

Toward Data-driven Programming for RESTful Linked Data
Applications are increasingly focused on the use and manipulation of data resources distributed on the Web. Consequently REST gains popularity with its resource-centric interaction architecture and flexibility enabled by hypermedia controls, i.e., links between resources. The natural extension of Linked Data with RESTful manipulation possibilities for resources can bring advantages that can be ...
متن کاملAn Exploration of Teachers' Beliefs about the Role of Grammar in Iranian High Schools and Private Language Institutes
This study was an attempt to explore the beliefs of Iranian EFL teachers about the role of grammar in English language teaching in both state schools and private language institutes. Data were collected through a questionnaire developed by Burgess and Etherington (2002), which consisted of 11 main subscales and was divided into two sections. The first section dealt with approaches to grammar te...
متن کاملUsing Generalised Dialogue Models to Constrain Information State Based Dialogue Systems
While Information State (IS) based techniques show promise in the construction of flexible, knowledgebased dialogue systems, the many declarative rules that are used to encode Dialogue Theories often lead to opaque systems that are difficult to test and potentially unintuitive to users. In this paper, we advocate the application of explicitly defined Generic Dialogue Models (GDMs), encoded as r...
متن کاملFrom Declarative Signatures to Misuse IDS
In many existing misuse intrusion detection systems, intrusion signatures are very close to the detection algorithms. As a consequence , they contain too many cumbersome details. Recent work have proposed declarative signature languages that raise the level of abstraction when writing signatures. However, these languages do not always come with operational support. In this article, we show how ...
متن کاملLUSTRE: A declarative language for programming
LUSTRE is a synchronous data-flow language for programming systems which interact with their environments in real-time. After an informal presentation of the language, we describe its semantics by means of structural inference rules. Moreover, we show how to use this semantics in order to generate efficient sequential code, namely, a finite state automaton which represents the control of the pr...
